Our team is made up of licensed occupational therapists and certified lactation consultants. Occupational therapists are trained to assess your baby’s oral skills, sensation, and structures, are knowledgeable on bottle types and flow rates, and are experts in infant development.
Lactation consultants are trained in all of the associated techniques and skills for breastfeeding and pumping success. The combination of these certifications provides us with the unique expertise to assess and provide education through every aspect of feeding, no matter the type. These two certifications provide us with the knowledge to assist, educate, and ssupport you through feeding at every stage.
We are a personalized, in-home infant feeding support service aiming to educate, train, and assist families in their feeding goals through all the stages.
Feeding your baby is a personal experience, so why not have personalized support?
Every baby feeds differently, and every family has different feeding goals. We are here to provide you with the personalized support, attention, care, and expertise you and your baby deserve. The Feeding Company is here for YOU.
Below are common questions about the services we provide.
Occupational therapists address the necessary self-care activities of every day. For babies, one of those activities of daily living is feeding. So, occupational therapists are trained to assist in infant feeding. We are trained to assess and treat oral motor skills, oral structural deficits, developmental milestones, positioning, and overall coordination during feeding. At The Feeding Company, our employees are also trained in all the aspect of bottle feeding. We are knowledgeable on several different brands of bottles and how the various nipple flow rates compare to one another.
The Feeding Company prides itself on being for you. For that reason, we are primarily a private pay/pay out of pocket company. This allows us to use our time with you in whatever way will best serve you and your baby. Both lactation consultant services and occupational therapy services could potentially be covered by your insurance, and we would be happy to provide you with a Superbill to provide to your insurance for reimbursement, but we cannot make any promises at this time.
We pride ourselves on being flexible. We intentionally leave time in between clients to be flexible. If your schedule is a bit off or your baby just fell asleep, give us a call and we will try our very best to come at a time that works for you and your baby. We want to see your baby feed when they are ready and willing, so we will do our best to make that happen.

We have seen so many parents spend a lot of money on different bottles and breastfeeding accessories that end up not working for them. You cannot return those things after using them, so The Feeding Company will provide you with your own personal kit of items needed to feed your baby when you have a prenatal education session or an infant feeding consultation. These are highly personalized and will be based on your responses in your intake form and also based on our session. This could consist of specific bottle types and nipple flow rates, manual pumps, infant spoons, sensory devices for babies, etc. We recommend if you are utilizing our prenatal education session, wait to purchase feeding supplies until after our meeting.
Give us a call, send a text message, or send an email. We will do our best to respond within 24 hours!
